Paris Day two:

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong .... but I think day two was The Louvre... so here we go.

Let's start with this, The Louvre is Big. Big with a capital B. Apparantly it's around three times the size of The British Museum, and can take years to master. Therefore it's good to have an idea of what to visit, we sort've did....

First I dragged everyone around the Greek and Egyptian Antiquities. Pure Gold, it was pure sizzling gold to my eyeballs.
Among other things were these, you may have heard of them...

Quite naturally there's a lot of artistic bliss to be found in the Louvre, however there's a lot more paintings of Jesus being postively camp! However we have no photographical evidence of this, but we swear, there's one and you can tell he's saying "OH MY GAWSH!! LEPER!!!"

Plus check out this, kinky painting of some lady (to the extent of my lack of knowledge) licking Jesus's chest wound; she may as well be licking his nipple!

Biblical Soft Porn I'm telling ya!

Another rocking part of the Louvre was some bit which name I have currently forgotton, but was still rocking. It was pretty much "other cultures that are "primitive" and like to make phallic sculptures from wood" Rocking I tells ya.

Before I frget I should mention the Pyramid, You know that famous Pyramid outside the Louvre (we never actually saw it from the outside, only underneath, there's a mall type complex underneath) The Pyramid has a little brother, it is UPSIDE DOWN

(rock on little kids that loved climbing on the pyramid)
And as you can see the glass one makes pretty rainbows

In the mall type bit there was a Virgin Megastores, twas pretty awesome, has loads of huge models etc... it had a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory type thing

After the Louvre we set out on our first venture for TAcky Souvenir Shops!!! And boy did we find them!! Got some not so tacky stuff, like a Chat Noir Tshirt and some Art Nouveau Prints.

If I rememeber correctly after the Louvre we headed back to the Hotel District, where we met up with Helen and Naomi H and went to eat. After a million billion miles of walking we found a lovely Chinese Restaurant, which had the most yummiest curry ever created.

Went back to the Hotel and spent alot of time playing cards into the wee hours

Paris: Day 1

Paris, wow Paris ... A very nice place, had a much nicer feel about it than London ... shame about all the french people there.*

To go over everything now, I hate to say, would be around the same thickness as Harry Potter numero 7, as I have so much I can say, and as of yet, so little photos with which to say them, as I have yet to get them off friends, and also get my b+ws developed... I will however try to share some of the highlights.

As a message to the people in the photos, if you want me to take them down please ask.

Will also mention now to save myself from repeating it later, yes, in France you can take pictures in the galleries, even of famous ones like Olympia n shit. As long as you don't use flash around the old ones, big no no.... ("NO FLASH!!!")

The trip to Paris was a college one, so I went with my buddies from Art and Photography, which rocked tremendously.
The system of the trip was they would take us to various places, but it wasbasically up to us once we got there, and we had to get back and eat etc by ourselves, very fun indeed.

We went by Eurostar, which I had to get the train to, which meant waking up at 4am, but my lovely mum gave me a lift down the hill to the local station. Met Justine on train, the fun had began

However troubles with assigning rooms (thanks to idiot teacher ) meant that we were together in a room, but I slept on the floor (I did actually have a bed ina room with two guys, but felt I would have missed out if I stayed there) which was actually pretty comfy. Apparantly I snore, however I've never been told this, and can therefore only assume this happens when I sleep...

A) on hotel floors
B) in paris
C) a mix of the above
D) around Naomi, as I've slept with everyone else before (hang on...)

So yes, see where that suitcase is, to the left, that gap was my bed

First day was a mix of a contemporary art gallery, which housed some pretty neato stuff, some of which I don't have photos of, goshdarnit...

Then we went to visit the most boring tourist attraction ever

We didn't even get given the option to go up, we just sort've stood underneath it for ages... (c'mon let's be honest here, if I'm right (which I'm probably not) France gave America The Statue of Liberty, which has gone green yes, but is still a pretty thing. France Got The Eiffel from America, who really got the better deal ey?)

Then we went on a boatride, whoooo, it started snowing!! It was as cold as hell on the deck but who cares!! There are many hobos living under the bridges of Paris!!

Then we made our way back to the hotel region, where we had dinner in a neato Italian Restaurant, then wandered around and went back to the restaurant. I should also mention how small the room was, Check out this tiny french bathtub!!

It snowed that night, but didn't lay, alas, but still made for a pretty photo...

*it is no secret that I pretty much hate french people, this is merely because I live in one of the most famous Tourist cities in England and therefore they clog MY STREETS AND STORES!!!
